I’m giddy, and totally excited about this slideshow. I’ve finished it earlier than anticipated, and I’m thinking that I won’t be able to hold it in until the appropriate anniversary date. Cait (aka The Crab) and Court (aka A Court) have been great friends to me for some time now, and I’m completely elated that our relationship extends past being merely teammate flatballers.

If you’re lucky enough to have a Courtney in your life, you’ll find out that she takes as much time and care listening to what you have to say, what you’re about, and looking after you, as she does in picking out a delightful 6-pack of brew and discussing the finer points of emo, indie rock music. And if you’re lucky enough to have a Caitlin in your life, you’ll find out that she’s The Crab, lover of all things cheese, adorable all-American high jumper, all-American friend and confidant.

To the most wonderful tenants of Ten14: You know that I *heart* you both. You’re the BEST!

We met in my college days at Penn State, Sarah and I. And from our first encounter on the ultimate field, we were like two peas in a happy little pod. Affectionately dubbed Boot, by a much younger generation of ultimate players, we’ve remained the best of friends, and I had the distinct pleasure and honor to wear a fancy little dress and be a bridesmaid at her wedding. This is the slideshow family and friends viewed at the reception.

You’ll find that Sarah is completely adorable. And Mike, of course, is dapper and adorable as well.

Together, they’re the adorablest!

Sometime in the latter stages of fall, almost winter, in 2006 there were rumors of a team of all-stars. Ones that didn’t practice. Ones that had picnics. And from these rumors were invitations, from a wily, and cunning, and charismatic Crider. And from these invitations came a team called Loose Cannon, talented athletes, who, during their 1st year in existence, managed to make their name as a Nationals caliber team, and wow onlookers with their unpredictability and on and (quite honestly) off the field antics.

Loose Cannon.

They are….

All-star passers. All-star socialites. And most importantly of all, the amazingest of friends.

On my spare-time during the collegiate, educational schoolyear, I’m one of three coaches on the coaching staff for Messiah women’s ultimate frisbee team. Now, the task is not truly a task. Volunteering my hours to a sport I love and hope to play for years to come, are hours worth spending. I feel privileged and honored to be able to pass on what little knowledge I know of to this younger generation of players.

This is a collection of photos from Stat Quo’s 2007-2008 ultimate season. Highlights include a tournament in Nevada’s Las Vegas and the UPA College Sectionals and Regionals series. The year saw so much improvement. So much so, that this coming year promises to be even better! But for now, let’s take a look at what happened this past season….
